The Crime Stoppers Division will help facilitate the creation of new Crime Stoppers programs as requested by communities statewide or to merge existing program for better success as a crime fighting tool. Further, to provide grant funding to these programs to help prevent and deter crime in local communities statewide and help solve crimes after they have already occurred. Provide on-site technical assistance for established Crime Stoppers programs. Conduct annual training for statewide Crime Stoppers local program members and law enforcement agencies about new ways to use the Crime Stoppers programs and about crime trends that seem to be occurring throughout our State. Board meetings will held to review programs, expenditures, objectives, advertisements, continuing education and how to spread the need for the cost effective crime fighting tool for our communities.
